The "hands across the sand" protest is this Saturday for those who are protesting oil drilling off the Florida Coast. Make your voice heard so that the PROTESTORS are not the only voice heard. Go to their facebook page and post your support of energy exploration and drilling in our domestic waters.

Or, you could support oil drilling in the gulf, because it will help our economy, national security, and quality of life.

Additional oil rig structures in the gulf will also provide great cover for dozens of fish species.  As far as I'm concerned, as long as I can get my boat between the rigs you can't have enough of them out there.

That oil will be tapped and taken.  The entire battle today is which country is going to get it--the US, or China.

After I read my own post I realized it made it sound like i was SUPPORTING this event. I am not. My post was intended for those of us who support the DRILLING OF DOMESTIC OIL to make our voices heard during the environmental whackos event. Go to their facebook page and post your opinion so that folks in Tallahassee dont think the environmentalist represent everyone here at the beach.

Drill baby Drill!!!

I have been posting on their facebook all day today with them deleting my post almost as quick as as they show up. I posted about 50 communist flags on their site just to be obnoxious and i get an email from the founder stating i " was toast" after he deleted them all. I responded with this email to him:
this coming from a socialist who is not interested in finding real world solutions to real world problems. This entire protest is no more than a vanity event for you personally and a "warm and fuzzy feel good event" for those who are too naive to understand the complexity of our countries fiscal, environmental and political needs. Sure its easy to demonize the mythical "big oil" and scare people that by preventing the safe extraction of domestic oil that you have somehow "saved the beaches". If your were truly interested in protecting our beaches, you would educate all these zombie followers about all of the sources of pollution that can degregate our beaches. The problem with that is that its not as romantic to get down and pickup trash, construct oil retraining storm sewers and lower uses of pesticides and fertilzers on our lawns. You are not interested in any discussion that somehow clouds your Utopian vision of the beach to all these people. If you were really interested in creating something that those other than the environmental far left are interested in, you would have set a tone in the discussions on the wall that would encourage all pieces of data to be explored and discussed instead you allow and actually encouraged people to make derogatory, insulting and down right rude comments to those people who have posted comments that were not 100% along the marching orders of the "no drilling whatsoever" mindset. This gagging of alternate opinions is my good sir exactly what communist have done to their citizens. I wish not to live in a country and have neighbors that lack the courtesy to hear alternate perspectives and opinions and treat those opinions with respect by which they deserve.

add your two cents to their facebook page
